Our ever-helpful host, Dr. Dogan Sumengen, and his wife. The very clean and comfortable room with tea and coffee whenever we wanted it. The view from the breakfast terrace.
Hard question. If anything, I found the bed a little too hard for my liking.
The location is very central to all the monuments and the friendliness of the owners.
The owners, which are permanently available to you, eager to help and to assist you in any situation are very kind and warm people. The room we stayed in, was very confortable, with a big bad, a sofa, an armchair, three chairs, a table and a desk, an wardrobe containing and a safe, an iron and a ironing table. There are in also a big fridge, a chitken closet whith everything you need to make a coffe or tea, a microwave oven and surprise, a jacuzzi inside the room. The bath room is also new and nice. You get a big lcd tv set and a dvd player in the room and wireless internet acces. Everything in the room is in a excelent condition and well functioning. The breakfast is very good with a many choices and is served in a very nice view of Bosforus on the roof terase. In the entrance lobby there are an internet acces computer for the guest use. Finally the location is in the heart of old SultanAhmed district near the Istambul most important atractions. As an conclusion we had a very nice stay there, that's why we extended it for few days more and compared with condition in "arden" five stars hotel in the nearby, there are a big difference in the advantage of ada.
The entrance is not impresive, is looking like a regular house entry more than a hotel one, the entrance lobby also, but don,t be fooled by this as we've been and don't judge by first impression, you'll see will have a nice time there.
Nice hotel in heart of Old Istanbul (Sultanahmet). Simple but very comfortable and quiet and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was functioning and was in top shape. Breakfast was good, served on a rooftop with views of Marmara sea. All and all a wonderful experience.
Everything about the Ada Hotel was warm and, at points, spectacular. The view from every window was framed by the sparkling Marmara Sea and the room itself was clean and well-presented. Perhaps best of all is the staff, who make the whole experience feel like a trip to visit family. Given that the prices could be considered only slightly above budget, this hotel should definitely be considered. It offers an authentic Turkish experience in a small hotel that is well-situated and excellently run.
We were very pleased with everything about this hotel. Those that prefer a Hilton-type experience would be disappointed here but those that prefer a warmer, more homely experience in rooms that are of a surprisingly high quality will be very happy.
This is very comfortable and I would definitely recommend this hotel
Dr Rogan, the Proprieter is a wonderdful man, very approachable and very helpful, good person easy to talk to and provides good insigtht into the workings of Istanbul. His Dining Room staff were also very friendly in a natural way, made a big fuss of our children, were very sincere and helpful.
Everything was wonderful, couldnt ask for any improvements.
Perfect location, less than 5minutes walk to the heart of Sultanahmet. Each room has a spa bath and many have a sea-view. Staff are genuinely helpful. There is great fast internet and VOIP phone available. Yes... overall very very VERY good experience.
It was next to a mosque so every morning at 5am you would be awoken by the morning prayer... However, this is the case for almost all Hotels in Sultanahmet.....
It was a very nice stay in Istanbul despite the bad weather. The hotel was great and we enjoyed the seaview and the comfort of the room. I would recommend this small hotel for the facility, the location, the breakfast and the price.
Location is ideal for sightseeing. Stay was extremely comfortable. Breakfast (included in the room rent) was very good. Mr. Duan manning the front desk is extremely helpful. On the day of our departure, he went out of the way to arrange Baklawa Sweets to be carried away by us for our grandchildren. Complementary tea-making facility in the room was very useful & satisfying. My room even had a Jakuzzi. Marmara sea-view from the room & from the terrace was fantastic.
I cannot think anything negative about this hotel and would strongly recommend this hotel to all those visiting Istanbul.
Very nice and cosy hotel. Perfect location to walk around the old city center, 2 famous mosques are nearby. Jacuzzi in the room is awesome, really unusual experience. Nice seaview terrase.
Good and friendly staff and family that runs the hotel. Good breakfast, excellent view from breakfast terrace.
